This report provides a snapshot of American Muslim civic engagement and political participation historically and in this moment. It examines the major issues that matter to the American Muslim voting public. This analysis will help policymakers, the media, and American Muslim communities understand what policy issues matter most to American Muslims.
This report is an outcome of the work of the National Public Outreach, Public Policy, and Advocacy Group of the Community Collaborative Initiative (CCI). CCI is an action-based participatory research project hosted by Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. The National Public Outreach, Public Policy, and Advocacy Group includes Emgage, Muslim Public Affairs Council, Muslim Civic Coalition, the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, and American Muslim Health Professionals.
ISPU would like to acknowledge our generous supporters whose contributions made this report possible, including the TIDES Foundation through the Community Collaboration Initiative (CCI) in partnership with the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
